Heading for Web Sites Page
Home

I learned that you can either create a web site out of scratch and/or by codes. When I first came into this class, I really thought that we would be creating a web site in Macromedia Dreamweaver, but when we made our first web site we made it in Notepad. It was kind of a disappointment for me, but then I realized that we were using Notepad to just help us get use to the codes and see how it looks. After the 1st marking period we started to create web sites in Dreamweaver and I have to admit that I like Dreamweaver a lot more. I learned how to insert graphics from Fireworks and how to insert tables, etc. There was a bunch of things that I had learned by using Dreamweaver and Notepad.

Some general guide lines you should follow when creating a web site is to:

  • Apply colors according to your audience.
  • Don't make graphics huge: they take a long time to load.
  • Make sure your color scheme matches your website.
  • Provide as much contact information as possible.
  • When putting music on your web site, make sure there is a way to turn it off.
  • Don't apply annoying animations

The following web sites are ones that I created in this class:
